International First Feature Competition
As last year, the artistic director has confirmed the decision to entrust the selection of the festival winners to organisations connected to the world of film criticism. Thus, following last year's involvement of publications such as Cineforum and Sentieriselvaggi, this year it is the turn of the editorial team of Spietati.it, a pioneering website of online film criticism, a breeding ground for talent (the artistic director himself contributed to the publication for a long period) and a point of reference for in-depth, seriously critical, never promotional and truly independent film discourse. A free space, founded in 1999 and currently directed by Luca Pacilio, which will choose the winner of the international competition.
Italian First Feature Competition
And since the spaces of film criticism are evolving, it was decided to entrust the jury of the Italian first feature competition to two podcasts by young critics: Il Salotto Monogatari Podcast, born in 2019 as a passionate opportunity for online encounters among cinephiles across Italy, whose active members today are Matteo Arcamone, Marco Grifò, Simone Malaspina, Paolo Torino and Alessandro Valenti, and Casaba Podcast, which since 2021 has been discussing new cinema releases on a weekly basis, providing in-depth coverage from festivals with daily reports and interviews, hosted by Edoardo Saccone, Leo Canali, Ossydiana Speri and Emma Marinoni.
